Birtukan and Meron
Pronounced: BIR-too-kahn and MEH-rohn
Meron came to EGCH in September 2012 at the age of two years old. Her mother was very young and had become pregnant with Meron after being sexually assaulted. While Meron was at EGCH, Birtukan worked jobs as a house cleaner. Eventually in early 2014, with the help of EGCH, she was able to bring Meron into her home. Birtukan now works at Lantu’s Home and is an excellent caregiver to the kids with special needs there. She also has a parttime cleaning job at the Ayeles’ home.
